LONDON RIOTS
Britain is paying for the Biblical Saying in Proverbs, “Spare the Rod and spoil the Child.”
Human Rights should be respected but they should never reign over authority especially in the case of children as rules are drawn for a reason.
It is so wrong to stereo type. The riots aren’t about age, gender, race or status.
Charity begins at home. For an 11 year old to be involved is so wrong. Where were his parents? What advice/guidance have they imparted on him this far. That goes for everyone who was involved.
“The LOVE of money is the root cause of all evil.” The 11 year old’s mum a care assistant was out at work looking for a buck. The people who got involved impulsively were out for quick money. And that goes for the other copy cat ‘riots’ elsewhere in England the motivation was with no question the quick financial gain.
Social Networking sites are a necessary evil. The same channels that were used to create quorum for the riots were also used to bring people together of the cleanup of their communities.
The western media has focused on the Malaysian student who after being attacked in the riots; got on to be mugged instead of getting help. I ain’t as shocked as other people cos in good old Uganda, after an accident onlookers will quickly get to the scene not to give first aid but to ransack the victims for money and other valuables. It is very sad but what can one do; other people look at other people’s misfortune as an opportunity.
David’s Cameron’s 1st year as Prime Minister has been dominated by cuts, cuts and more cuts. I am no economist here but with a cut in the police budget supposedly coming is it justified or is he merely cutting for the sake of it. The cuts are definitely getting back at him .
There is a big gap between the rich and the poor. With parliament in recess most of the politicians were away on holiday. Sunday morning we wake up to the shock of what happened in Tottenham. London Mayor is nowhere to be seen and so is the Prime Minister. Both PM and mayor only canceled their holidays after the 3rd night of violence. I bet you most of the people involved in the riots have never been on a plane and to them the word holiday means creating mayhem as a way of keeping themselves busy.
Before these riots I was one of those people who advocated for, ‘ home is were the heart is.’ Well am changing my tune now. There have been so many racial hate responses online; almost 90% of the comments on the riots are out to get black people in general. Clearly the integration of races in this country is a cosmetic one. So if you can still call the place where you come from ethnically home ,i think it is good to have something there for the rainy days.
By day 3, about 415 arrests and the police cells in London were bursting. With legal aid amongst other benefits, Prison here is like booking a vacation with a self contained unit, gym, library and courses offered .So clearly these kids haven’t lost anything, the only people going to pay for these riots are the tax payers.

Groceries
As I was walking
Down life's highway
Many years ago, I came upon a
Sign that read
Heavens Grocery Store..
When I got a
Little closer
The doors swung
Open wide
And when I came
to myself
I was standing
Inside..
I saw a host of
Angels.
They were
Standing everywhere
One handed me a
Basket
And said 'My
Child shop with care.’
Everything a
Human needed
Was in that
Grocery store
And what you
Could not carry
You could come
Back for more
First I got some
Patience.
Love was in that
Same row.
Further down was
Understanding,
You need that
Everywhere you go..
I got a box
or
Two of Wisdom
And Faith a bag
Or two.
And Charity of
Course
I would need some
Of that too..
I couldn't miss
The Holy GhostIt was all over
The place.
And then some
Strength
And Courage to
Help me run this race.
My basket was
Getting full
But I remembered
I needed Grace,
And then I chose
Salvation for
Salvation was for
Free
I tried to get
Enough of that to do
For you and me..
Then I started to
The counter
To pay my grocery
Bill,
For I thought I
Had everything
To do the Masters
Will.
As I went up the
Aisle
I saw Prayer and
Put that in ,
For I knew when I
Stepped outside
I would run into
Sin.
Peace and Joy
Were plentiful,
The last things
On the shelf.
Song and Praise
Were hanging near
So I just helped
Myself.
Then I said to
The angel
'Now
how much do
I owe?'
He smiled and
Said
'Just take them
Everywhere you go.'
Again I asked
'Really now,
How much do I
Owe?'
'My child' he
Said , 'God paid your bill
A long long time
Ago.'
